Service Description

Friday March 14th 10:30am - 2:30pm $200.00 In this workshop we will explore the use of acrylic paints, their mediums, and the tools needed to create a fully realized painting. Barbara will guide you through the entire process of laying in your painting, color mixing, application, and exploring the many textures that are possible with acrylic paint. This is a great introduction or perfect refresher for those interested in painting. Bring something to eat and drink, as we will be working straight through taking small breaks. Supplies can be purchased with a student discount at the Golden Eagle. Supplies Required: Painting Surface Canvas, cradled board, or heavyweight paper 16 x 20” or larger Paints Ultramarine Blue Turquoise or Pthalo Blue Alizarin Crimson Cadmium Red Medium Cadmium Yellow Medium Titanium White Brushes 3-6 Long handle acrylic/oil brushes, large to medium, flats, & rounds Large size disposable palette pad Small spray bottle for water Paper Towels Optional: Barbara will discuss and demonstrate various acrylic mediums at the start of class, after which you can choose which is right for you.
